Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste

  • Trash collection day is Monday a.m.  Limit one trash bin per household.  Household and yard waste containers should not be placed on the curb until the evening before the scheduled collection.  All emptied trash containers must be removed from the curb after collection and stored out of sight at the side or rear of dwelling.
  • Recycling.  Homeowners may contact GFL directly, 843-397-5586 to arrange for Household Waste Recycling.  This is a separate fee, billed directly to the resident by Waste Industries.
  • Yard debris (leaves, twigs, pine straw) is collected the second and fourth Thursday of the month.  Please note that during the Thanksgiving holiday in November pick up will be 1 or 2 business days following the holiday.
  • Branches are not to exceed 4’ in length or 3” diameter, and must be securely tied in small bundles.
  • Please use large brown bags (available at Lowes, Wal-Mart, Home Depot) OR a reusable container for yard debris. Trash companies and individuals can no longer use black plastic bags at dumps.
  • Please note:  Association landscapers are NOT responsible for picking up yard waste from private homes on Tuesdays.   Do not place private yard waste on curbs or medians.
  • If GFL fails to collect your curbside waste on designated day contact them at (843) 397-5586.
  • One large trash bin per household can be obtained for each residence by calling GFL, (843) 397-5586.
